Debates on religion and faith have existed since the dawn of time. In this group, we seek to further these discussions with rational, civilized, and proper argumentation. There are guidelines for this group in order to keep the discussions reasonable:
1) Understand how to argue. Don't post or comment if you don't possess basic skills in logic and reasoning. Make sure you understand the burden of proof and own up to it. You may be removed from the group for repeated incoherent arguments or ad hominem attacks.
2) Keep the discussions on topic. If you'd like to move the topic forward, you may do so with agreement from other parties. Don't post comments with fifteen different lines of argument in it all at once.
3) Respect when a valid point has been made. Don't use the same argument if it's already been previously defeated.
4) When posting or joining a conversation, make it clear what viewpoint you're arguing for. Be sure to define ambiguous terms upfront.
This group may have a biased slant, but all members will respect these guidelines regardless of their position. Only join and participate if you can answer 'YES' to the following:
"There is evidence or convincing arguments that could be brought forth or made that would make me change my position."
The owner and moderators of this group reserve the right to delete comments and ban any member (or non-member) upon clear, numerous violations of our conventions. If you're unwilling to argue properly or unable to identify when you've been defeated, you may find your membership revoked.
